Hello, Ladies & Gentlemen!

🎆Good news from China! After more than two months of downtime due to the Shanghai lockdown, from the beginning of June Longpack has gradually resumed its production activities. Having accumulated a large queue of pending projects, they communicated us the new schedule: the completion of the assembly of all boxes and the preparation for shipment is expected in about 20 days.

We should therefore finally have everything ready for shipment by mid-July!

The prices of naval transport have remained almost unchanged since the beginning of the crisis, which began almost a year ago, it seems evident that it is not reasonable to hope for significant changes in the short term, so we are already organizing the ships to start the sea ​​freight as soon as possible. With this timeline, the fullfillment should take place between August and September.

As we area aware some of you could be out for holidays, we are investigating a procedure to let you communicate the days you prefer not to receive delivery, to minimize the risks of loosing boxes.

We want to show you the production copies of the the 4 booster packs of the mini expansions, and also the new Paleontologists Club KS Promo Card (announced in the last update). 

Following your suggestion, we have added an additional card that contains the rules for using the new Club card, so that you have everything you need in the box, without having to search for rules within our WEB APP .

We also take the opportunity to confirm that all rulebooks in all promised languages ​​will be uploaded into the WEB APP within 3-4 weeks, so that you have everything before delivery of the game.

Hello Ladies & Gentlemen,

About a month ago we informed you about the bad situation in the city of Shanghai, where the Longpack factory is located. The new wave of Covid 19 has practically blocked the city for several weeks and even now, although the situation seems improving, many activities have not yet restarted.

With this statement, received 3 days ago, Longpack informed us that the government restrictions in Shanghai are still active, that luckily Longpack has been included in a Whitelist of companies that have been given permission to resume activities, but they notified us that they are operating at a very slow pace due to the many employees being still blocked and unable to reach the factory. 

However, they are confident that, given the improving situation, they will soon be able to return to full capacity. Regarding our game, our contact person informs us that they are trying to organize the work to complete the last phase of production (assembly and final packaging) by the end of June.

Regarding this, after reading some comments on the Message Board, we want to confirm that, as announced in Update #27, the production of the components of the various CoW boxes has been completed a few months ago. Given the uncertain situation of sea freight prices, which we informed you of in Update #28, we decided to slow down the last phase of production (assembly, final packaging, and positioning on the pallets), simply to avoid having to incur additional storage costs, as we would still have to wait for the shipment.  But the recent lockdown in Shanghai has had a direct impact on this final step... Currently, the assembly of the boxes is the last production step that Longpack must carry out to definitively end the production, and allow us to finally load all the boxes on the ships.

We want to reassure you once again that, as soon as Longpack provides us with an exact date for the completion of the works, we will immediately book the ships for the first available date.

Given this further delay, albeit totally out of our control, we decided and asked Longpack to print a promo card to add to the Kickstarter edition of the game, therefore exclusive for the backers of this campaign!

The Paleontologists Club is a new Club Card that you can use in your games. Membership in this Club will allow you to create complete Beasts using the same anatomical part twice, so you can then form bizarre creatures with 2 heads or 2 bodies! 

Since the Rulebooks are already completely printed, the rule of this card will be published shortly on our WEB APP. We hope this little surprise will please you.

Easter Update!

Dear Ladies & Gentlemen!

A quick update on Chambers of Wonders production status and shipment!

The production is at the last stages, only one last unexpected event: the factory that produces CoW (LongPack Games) is located in Shanghai, and, as you probably know, the city is currently blocked by a heavy total lockdown, imposed by the Zero Covid policy in force in China... the lockdown started  3 weeks ago and it's still going on.

LongPack sent an official statement to all its partners that the factory is currently closed and they are therefore temporarily unable to continue production.

Unfortunately, this situation is generating many problems for all production and distribution sectors in China, at the moment we can just wait for news from our LongPack friends. We hope, first of all for the population involved, that this dramatic situation will be resolved as soon as possible.

We will keep you updated as soon as the factory informs us of new developments.

On a positive note, DHL confirms that the queue for shipments by ship should be resolved at the moment (but the prices have not been reduced... sigh!). This means that as soon as we receive a date for the end of production we will book ships and start the shipment phase!

In the last update, we showed you all the material of the production copies of the Core game and all the expansions and Stretch Goals. Many have asked us to also see the Deluxe Edition, so in the following images, you can admire CoW in all its splendor with the materials we have produced in collaboration with Raptor.

We are very proud of all this material that will make up a true Deluxe Edition that will make you super collectors and enrich your "Chambers of Wonder Games"!

Hello, ladies & Gentlemen!

It has been a while since the last update, we promised you that we would inform you as soon as we had some news about production and shipments.

As we explained you in the last update, we were forced to postpone the CoW shipment after the end of the Chinese New Year, because of the crazy prices reached by containers from China.

At the moment there are no significant price changes, since many shipments have been postponed due to the same problem, so the demand is still very high and the availability still very scarse.

Anyway we are working to find a time window that allows us to ship, and, based on the information we receive from our shipping partners, this window could be between the end of March and April. 

It will still be very expensive to manage compared with what we forecasted and asked as shipping costs, but we decided to take the hit on our margins and deliver the products.

It is therefore reasonable to assume that for those dates we will be able to put all games on the ships. 

We will inform you as soon as we have more precise dates.

In the meantime, we have received some copies of the game directly from the factory, we are very happy to share them with you, showing you a series of images made in our studio with the final materials, exactly the ones you will find in your boxes.

The quality of materials and printing is of the highest level and CoW with its expansions is truly a feast for the eyes, we can't wait to see it on your tables!

Shipment update before Christmas

Hello, Ladies & Gentlemen!

First of all, we want to apologize for the delay with which this update arrives, but having to communicate important information about the start of shipments, we waited for definitive news before making an official update.

We have spent the last month preparing CoW shipping, as production is in the final stage, but sadly we have run into problems related to the severe sea transport crisis from China that everyone is talking about, and about which we too were well aware.

At the moment, together with CoW, we have 2 other games ready for shipment but as for DEI and Dungeonology, we are forced to communicate that due to the strong increases suffered by the prices of containers, we will be able to ship the Pledges headed to Europe and North America after the Chinese New Year.

This is the time limit in which our partners for shipments estimate the first drop in prices.

Making shipments before this deadline would not be sustainable for us given the estimated budget for the cost of shipments during the Pledge Manager and we have decided not to ask for additional fees from backers.

We are very sorry to have to give you this news. 

For us, this is serious damage, not only because we will accumulate a delay compared to what we promised, but also because we will have to postpone the CoW retail launch in various countries, initially planned for the first quarter of 2022, after delivery to the backers.

Unfortunately, at the moment there is not much else we can do other than promise you more timely updates in the next 2 months, to keep you informed and reassured that we will do our best to get you your pledge as soon as possible.

For the backers in China and Oceania, the situation is not so dramatic, it will be possible to start shipments in a shorter time, as soon as we receive the definitive ok from the factory.

A little good news concerns our Web App, launched a few days ago and which contains all the rulebooks of our games. In the case of CoW, you will find the Rulebooks of the core game, the expansions, and the Stretch Goals. At the moment the available languages ​​are ITA, ENG RUS, and HUN, but other languages ​​will arrive soon too!

You can then start reading all the published material and get ready for the arrival of your pledge!
